Mauch Chunk Trust Company names new Chairman & Vice Chairman to Board of Directors

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, July 27, 2022– Thomas R. Lisella, Esq., has been named as Chairman of the Board of Directors of both the Mauch Chunk Trust Company (MCT) and its parent company, the Mauch Chunk Trust Financial Corporation (MCTFC). James R. Nanovic, Esq., has also been named as the Vice Chairman of both companies.
MCT, the wholly owned subsidiary of MCTFC, is a locally owned and managed independent community bank with its main office in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, PA. The bank operates seven full-service community offices in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties as well as a Wealth Management office in Jim Thorpe. MCT was incorporated on August 25, 1902 as the successor institution to the Second National Bank of Mauch Chunk established in 1864 and will celebrate its 120th anniversary during August 2022.
Lisella has been a member of the Board of Directors of both MCT and MCTFC since 2014. He is a retired Partner of Bowe, Lisella & Bowe Law Offices in Tamaqua, PA, with 42 years of service. A graduate of Panther Valley High School, Susquehanna University and Duquesne Law School, Lisella was also formerly involved in the Mahoning and Tamaqua Lions Clubs and the Tamaqua Community Library. Lisella resides in Hometown - Rush Township, PA with his wife, Dianne. “I look forward to leading the board through new areas of expansion and developing Mauch Chunk Trust Company’s financial product lines,” said Lisella. |
Nanovic also joined the board of both MCT and MCTFC as a Director in 2014 and has been practicing law since 1985 at Nanovic Law Offices in Jim Thorpe, PA, where he maintains a general practice of law in the areas of civil litigation, domestic relations, wills and estate planning, real estate, zoning and municipal law and corporations. Nanovic was born and raised in Palmerton, PA and is a graduate of Palmerton High School, the University of Notre Dame and the Dickinson School of Law. He currently resides in Lehighton, PA with his wife, Eileen. Nanovic said “MCT has been a cornerstone of our community since 1902 and I’m very pleased to be named to Vice Chairman of the Board.” |
