2026 MCT Community Heroes
MCT proudly celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Community Heroes Program at the 2026 Community Heroes Banquet, honoring individuals whose volunteer service has made a lasting impact throughout Carbon County and the Tamaqua area.
This year’s Community Heroes are:
- Carolyn Long (Lehighton)
- Dan Odorizzi (Tamaqua)
- Kathy Goff (Jim Thorpe)
- Tom Lager (Jim Thorpe)
Since the program began in 2000, MCT has recognized 132 outstanding volunteers who embody the spirit of community service. Each of this year’s honorees received an engraved award, and MCT made a $200 charitable donation to an organization of their choice in their honor.
Thank you to our Community Heroes, past and present, the Selection Committee, and everyone who has helped make this program one of MCT’s most meaningful traditions.
